Coming to Terms

Pressed metaphors and other signposts
at the intersection of positive and negative theology

Welcome!

Coming to Terms is a collection of words—and the occasional image—curated by Peter L. Edman.

Most of the words here are drawn from my reading and surfing, but I write occasionally. If you’re interested in the connecting threads, start by looking at posts tagged “key.”

I am a researcher and editor with design skills. My interests include literature, theology, philosophy, design, music, technology, and any combination thereof except literary theory. I speak several professional and cultural dialects fluently.

I currently work with the Restoration Programs unit at American Bible Society, which equips churches and organizations worldwide to bring spiritual and mental health resources to victims of trauma. Our work in the war zones of DR Congo and its neighbors is called She’s My Sister.

I am an Anglican Christian and have great fondness for writers from that tradition. I also enjoy many other writers from Russell Kirk to Camille Paglia (after I have finished my morning comics).

I am married (happily) and live in northern Virginia with my family. We progress asymptotically.

You are welcome to follow me on Twitter. I also have a LinkedIn profile.
